The Omicron Beta Tau Chapter attended numerous conference throughout
the year at the State and National levels.
State Leadership Conference - March 2007
The State Leadership Development Conference was held in
Charlotte,
North Carolina. At this conference 14members, and 3 advisers attended workshops,
assisted with the chapter sales booth
and participated in events. The chapter won a total of 35 awards & received
recognition:

The National Leadership Development Conference was held in
Nashville, Tennessee. At this conference 5 members, and 1 adviser attended workshops and
participated in events. The chapter won a total of 3 awards:

North Carolina Fall Kick-Off; Eastern Region - September 2006
The Fall Kick-off was held at Fayetteville Technical Community College in
Fayetteville, North Carolina. The event was attended by: Mr. Kenneth Kleiner,
Sarah Espinosa, Denise Suggs, Adric Langdon and Professional Division member
Christopher Espinosa. To welcome the Eastern Region to Fayetteville Tech Mr.
Eldan Meacham, Associate Vice President for Curriculum Programs and Dean of
Business Programs, William Griffin. During the event a member of our chapter,
Sarah Espinosa, who also served at that time as the NCPBL Eastern Region Vice
President and
adviser, Mr. Kenneth Kleiner, who also serves as the NCPBL State Publications
director gave speeches and helped with activities. The kick-off helps chapters learn about all the possibilities
of success with Phi Beta Lambda.
North Carolina Fall Leadership
Development Conference - November 2006
The North Carolina Fall Leadership Development Conference
was held in Statesville, North
Carolina. The chapter sent one member, Eastern Region Vice President Sarah
Espinosa and adviser, State Publications director Mr. Kenneth Kleiner. Also
attending was one of our Professional Division members, Christopher Espinosa,
who assisted in selling Phi Beta Lambda blankets to raise funds for our chapter.
At this conference Mr. Kleiner and Sarah presented workshops, lead discussion
groups, and other state executive council duties.
National Fall Leadership Development
Conference - November 2006
The National Fall Leadership Development Conference for the region
was held in Jacksonville, Florida. The chapter sent one member, Eastern Region
Vice President Sarah
Espinosa and adviser, State Publications director Mr. Kenneth Kleiner. Sarah
along with two of the other state officers held a workshop on Business
Etiquette.
North Carolina Winter Tip-Off; Eastern
Region - February 2007
The Winter Tip-off was held at Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North
Carolina. The event was attended by: Mr. Kenneth Kleiner, Sarah Espinosa, Amber
Gillespie and David Shelton. During the event a member of our chapter, Sarah Espinosa, who also
served at that time as the NCPBL Eastern Region Vice President and
adviser, Mr. Kenneth Kleiner, who also serves as the NCPBL State Publications
director gave speeches and helped with activities. The tip-off focuses on the
upcoming State Leadership Conference, deadlines, and events.
